IVL
IVL is an independent, non-profit research organization. Since 1966 it has worked with development of solutions to environmental problems nationally and internationally. We do research and contract assignments notably in: Natural resources, climate and environment, resource-efficient recycling and consumption, sustainable production and environmental technology, sustainable urban development and transport.
IVL is actively working with district heating and cooling projects. One example is the coordination of the Reuseheat project focused on urban waste heat recovery (low temperatures) into existing DH networks. IVL competencies are on business model innovation in the district heating sector, on environmental impact from usage of different heat sources and on energy systems modelling.

ADEPORTO
ADEP is the energy agency of the Metropolitan area of Porto North of the Douro River (AMP-ND) aggregating 9 municipalities and having also as associates 30 other institutions, private and public, from all sectors including the main energy suppliers, the technologies, the professional associations and the academia. It covers a population of about 1 million and an area of over 800km2. ADEP is a non-profit private organization established in 2007 under the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme. ADEP is involved in several projects like a heating/cooling urban network (RUTE), a system of domestic solar hot water in social housing blocks (4.000 m2) and a network of cycling pathways.
KELVIN SOLUTIONS

The Asturian Energy Foundation (FAEN) is the Regional Energy Agency of the Principality of Asturias (Spain). FAEN is an entity without lucrative interest and its main objective is to work on activities related with the promotion of energy savings and efficiency, renewable energies, research, development of new technologies and respect for the environment. Its Management Board, were participates both public and private entities composed by the most important entities in the field of energy of Asturias, represents, administrates and manage the entity. FAEN general aim and goal is to promote and develop activities related to research, technical development and training with interest for the energetic industry of Asturias, extending those acts to electricity, gas, renewable energies, oil and other energy sectors, energetic and financial markets, and with other connected sectors, as deliverers and/or consumers.

POM Antwerp is a public organisation (provincial). Our mission is to enhance the province of Antwerp economically by: (Re-)development of sustainable business parks/industrial sites (greenfiels, brownfiels, parkmanagement); support of priority sectors such as logistics, construction, chemistry and romoting our province as an investment region. We set up collaborations between different stakeholders and coordinate projects to make industrial sites more sustainable.
MEDGREEN
The MEDGreen Cluster is a grouping of innovative of companies, research organizations, universities, local authorities and other stakeholders from Romania associated for the promotion of eco-technologies and alternative sources of energy. The cluster is actively involved in eco-innovation projects dedicated to the enhancement of competitiveness by the promotion of the principles of green economy. In 2013 the MEDGreen Cluster founded in Constanta the “Center of Engineering for Sustainable Development”. The competencies of the Center include the modeling, analysis and optimization of energy systems on a lifecycle approach, comparative analysis of different transport modes, pollution and environmental impact, life cycle assessment, technical and economical complex analysis and optimization methods.
MARTINI
Martini & Rossi is the Italian company of the Bacardi Group. It is located in Pessione of Chieri (TO) since 1863. Pessione plant is the historical site where all our products in all the receipts are produced: Martini, Sparkling Wines and Liquors and starting from 31st of January 2017 also Bacardi Rum. The plant owns the entire process from must and wine acceptance to the finished goods deliveries to the markets. The site host also a R&D Dept. dedicated to wine based products. With the start of the Rum production Pessione became the largest Operation Centre (the definition of a Bacardi production Hub) for the Bacardi Group.
LIPOR
Intermunicipal Waste Management of Greater Porto (LIPOR) is responsible for the management, recovery and treatment of the Municipal Waste produced in the eight associated municipalities: Espinho, Gondomar, Maia, Matosinhos, Porto, Póvoa de Varzim, Valongo and Vila do Conde. Lipor was founded in 1982 as a Municipalities Association and it has implemented an integrated waste management, recovered, developed and built infrastructures and organised awareness campaigns for the population. Based on modern MW management concepts that stand for the implementation of integrated systems and reduction of waste disposal in landfills, Lipor has developed an integrated strategy for the recovery, treatment and confinement of MW, based on Multi-material Recovery, Organic Recovery and Energy Recovery.

Göteborg Energi, founded in 1846 and owned by the City of Gothenburg, is Sweden’s largest company owned by a municipality. Göteborg Energi employs 1,200 people. Its vision: “A Sustainable Gothenburg Society”, describes all activities within the company. Göteborg Energi today offers a complete palette of energy products and services to the citizens of Gothenburg and a couple of surrounding municipalities. This includes electricity and gas networks, electricity and gas trade, district heating and cooling, natural gas and biogas to vehicles, and a range of energy services such as energy saving assistance and climate agreements.
Varberg Energy
Varberg Energi AB, owned by the municipality of Varberg, is an energy and IT-company. Our business concept is distribution of electricity, production and distribution of district heating and distribution of natural gas. We also operate and serve a broadband infrastructure network system for communication. In our daughter company Varberg Energimarknad AB, our business is electrical and gas trade. In this company we also produce our own renewable electricity with wind and water turbines.

TERMOFICARE CONSTANTA
District Heating Company Termoficare Constanta is organised as a company established by the local municipality with the purpose of administrating the heat distribution infrastructure of the municipality of Constanta and to provide the specialised services to the industrial, public and individual customers. R.A.D.E.T. Constanta operates under license no. 2028 / 22.06.2017 granted by ANRE – Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority for the provision of district heating services in the municipality of Constanta. The main activity of R.A.D.E.T. Constanta is the distribution and supply of thermal energy produced at Palas Thermal Power Plant through 136 thermal energy transfers stations. The heat distribution capacity is 813 MWt.
MATERIALS PROCESSING INSTITUTE
The Institute is an independent Research Institute supporting the Steel Industry. With over 70 years of experience in the Steel Industry, the Institute’s engineers, scientists and industry experts specialise in advanced materials, process and product development, low carbon energy and the circular economy. The Institute has extensive laboratory and pilot plant facilities, including large-scale pilot coke making, steelmaking and continuous casting plant and equipment which is sized to be fully representative of today’s production units. These facilities are supported by extensive laboratory capabilities covering both testing and simulation, together with mathematical and physical modelling expertise, all located on a single Campus site in Middlesbrough, UK.

ENVIRONMENT PARK
Environment Park – Parco Scientifico Tecnologico per l’Ambiente – or simply EnviPark, is a research and innovation center in Turin, Italy in a building environment that uses low environmental impact solutions.
Built on the initiative of the Regione Piemonte, City of Turin and the European Union, it represents an innovative experience in Europe because it is the first Technological and Scientific Park dedicated to environmental technologies.
